New project article has been published describing our finding of nanotwinning in Ni-Mn-Ga alloy. We show that the material becomes nanotwinned for certain ranges of composition and temperature. As the nanotwinning distorts the relation between the crystal lattice and the X-ray
diffraction pattern, the finding is very important for any further structural studies of Ni-Mn-Ga Heusler alloys. Moreover the properties of the material are presumably influenced by the nanotwinning, which will be further investigated in future.
